  1. Hi, I am also planning to attempt letter pressing my wedding invites. You have said you selected your paper from Fine Art Papers in Christchurch but I am keen to know what type/brand you ended up going with and what roughly should I be expecting to pay for the paper

    1. Hi there! Unfortunately I can't tell you the brand of the paper, but it was a 100% cotton blend and I think about 160gsm (though could be wrong on the latter). It came in enormous sheets - each one made around 30 of our 15cm x 15cm invitations - and each sheet was about $11. We bought four sheets so we had loads left over - we only needed around 70 invitations - and had a whole sheet left over.

I'm sorry this probably isn't as helpful as you had hoped! I'd suggest going to Fine Art Papers (where you can pick up sample cards) or giving them a call explaining what you want. From what I've read, thick cotton paper is what you want, and after that it will probably come down to colour preference.

I will update here if I manage to track down the specifics. Good luck!

    1. Thanks Rama - I must have been having a bit of a brain melt when I wrote that, but have now fixed it. :-) Thanks for letting me know!
